Finally had the chance to try out this so-called controversial food. I got to say for something that attracts so much attention, it tastes pretty mediocre.
This one is a foie gras salad from Bakerzin. Despite all the garnish and jumbling of tastes from sweet to sour, the foie gras is pretty much untouched therefore giving me the chance to savor its true taste.
For something very luxurious it tastes so humble or perhaps underwhelming. It’s not bad but at the same time not spectacular at all. No offense to the french or foie gras lovers but despite all the hype I was not too impressed. Got to admit it seems pretty versatile though, able to fit the other tastes pretty easily.
